​All current orchestra students are welcome in HS Orchestra! The purpose of auditions is to determine the best fit for your student so they can experience the most growth and success.  Students may only be placed in one of our four orchestras after completion of a successful audition. 

• Audition material is released to the West and Westwood JH directors around spring break.  Since we are a magnet campus, the music is available to other RISD JH campuses on a "request-only" basis.  Those directors may contact us, or students are welcome to write the RHS Directors directly to inquire about auditions as well.
• Rising 9th Grade auditions take place on the West and Westwood campuses during orchestra classes at the end of March/early April.  Magnet auditions are 
• Incoming Magnet & New Student auditions take place via video submission due by mid April.
